Michael J. Sileski, JD, MHA
Michael J. Sileski, JD, MHA, is an associate attorney with Health Care Law Associates, P.C. and a consultant with Health Care Consulting, Inc. Mr. Sileski regularly advises physicians in the areas of new physician hiring, contract terms and compensation, employment arrangements, compensation plans, mergers, and regulatory matters. He has also lectured nationally on a variety of subjects including Cardiologist transitions into practice and practice expansion through the use of physician extenders (NPs & PAs).
Before joining The Health Care Group, Mr. Sileski clerked for Presiding Civil Division Judge Paul T. Koenig, Jr. in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Mercer County, NJ. Previously, Mr. Sileski worked as a legal intern in the practice of health care law at Abington Memorial Hospital Office of Legal Services and the Pennsylvania Governor’s Office of General Counsel, MCARE Fund. At both positions Mr. Sileski performed various tasks including: reviewing physician and vendor contracts, participating in guardianship and probate proceedings, maintaining hospital compliance of HIPAA, Stark I & II, and Anti-kickback regulations, conducting legal analysis of pending medical malpractice cases for committee review in determining courses of action, legal research on specific legal issues encountered by committee members, and submitting claims evaluations, and maintaining monthly adverse verdict reports.
Mr. Sileski earned his Juris Doctor degree from Widener University School of Law (DE) and concentrating on the study of health law after graduating from the Kutztown University of Pennsylvania with a major in Criminal Justice. He completed his Masters of Healthcare Administration from Seton Hall University with Honors. He is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar, New Jersey Bar, and U.S. District Court of New Jersey. Mr. Sileski is a member of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey State Bar Associations and Montgomery County (PA), and Mercer County (NJ) Bar Associations.
