Lucia F. Bruno, JD, LLM, MBA
Ms. Bruno has extensive experience defending hospitals, physicians, and other health care providers throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She has successfully represented clients and litigated claims in all areas of medical and dental malpractice, staff privileges, and regulatory appeals. Her in-depth understanding of the health care industry and the unique operational issues facing providers allows her to assist clients in establishing effective risk prevention and liability reduction programs designed to avoid future litigation.
Ms. Bruno earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Widener University School of Law in 2004. While at Widener, she received the distinguished Dean’s Academic Achievement Award for Appellate Practice and Procedure. In 2006, she earned an LL.M. in Trial Advocacy from Temple University Beasley School of Law and an M.B.A., with honors, from Saint Joseph’s University Haub School of Business.
Prior to practicing law, Ms. Bruno enjoyed a distinguished career as a police detective in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. In 1996, she was honored by the Pennsylvania Senate and House of Representatives as Outstanding Law Enforcement Officer of the Year. She was also named Criminal Investigator of the Year by the Douglass Montgomery Township Police Department in 1998.
In addition to the practice of law, Ms. Bruno serves as an Adjunct Professor at Temple University, Department of Criminal Justice.
